If you are in significant pain, have suffered a dental injury, or have a concern that cannot reasonably wait for a routine appointment, that is a dental emergency. You do not need to meet a specific threshold to call us. If something feels urgent to you, we want to hear from you.
Our team will do our best to get you seen promptly, assess the situation, and provide the treatment you need or a temporary solution while we plan the next steps.

Common dental emergencies we treat
Dental emergencies can take many forms. Some involve pain, some involve injury, and some involve damage to existing dental work. All of them deserve prompt attention.
If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies as an emergency, call us and describe what is happening. We will help you decide whether you should come in right away.
- Severe toothache or persistent throbbing pain
- Knocked-out or partially dislodged tooth
- Broken, chipped, or fractured tooth
- Lost filling or crown
- Dental abscess or swelling in the mouth or jaw
- Soft tissue injuries to the lips, tongue, or gums
- Broken dental appliance causing discomfort or injury
What to do while you are on your way
If a tooth has been knocked out, handle it by the crown rather than the root, rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to reinsert it in the socket or keep it in a small container of milk. Time matters significantly for knocked-out teeth, so call us immediately and head in.
For pain and swelling, a cold compress applied to the outside of the cheek can provide temporary relief. If a filling or crown has come out, dental cement available at most pharmacies can protect the area until you are seen. In cases involving significant facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, please go directly to the nearest emergency room.
