Many serious dental conditions develop out of sight, between teeth, below the gumline, or within the bone. Without X-rays, these problems can go undetected until they become significantly more difficult and costly to treat.
We welcome patients from across East Texas and use modern digital X-ray technology as part of comprehensive dental care at every location.
Dental X-rays at Arise Dental

At Arise Dental, we use digital X-ray technology, which produces high-quality diagnostic images with a fraction of the radiation exposure associated with older film-based systems. Images are available immediately, allowing your dentist to review and discuss findings with you during the same visit.
We use protective lead aprons as a standard precaution for every patient. Our team follows current guidelines for imaging frequency based on each patient’s individual health history, age, and risk level.
A comfortable, patient-focused experience
Digital X-rays are quick and comfortable for patients of all ages. The process involves placing a small sensor inside the mouth and taking images that are visible on a screen within seconds.
- Digital sensors are comfortable and the process takes only a few minutes
- Images are reviewed with you so you can see and understand the findings
- We explain exactly what we are looking for and what we find
- Lead aprons are used for all patients as a standard safety measure
We take time to walk you through your X-rays so you leave with a clear understanding of your oral health.
What dental X-rays can detect
X-rays reveal information that is simply not available from a visual exam alone. For this reason, they are an essential part of comprehensive dental care rather than an optional add-on.
Catching these conditions early through regular imaging typically means simpler, less expensive treatment and better long-term outcomes.
- Cavities forming between teeth and beneath existing fillings
- Bone loss associated with gum disease or infection
- Abscesses and cysts developing in the jaw
- Impacted or developing teeth
- Changes in tooth roots and surrounding bone structure
- Certain systemic conditions that show signs in the jaw
How often are X-rays recommended
New patients typically need a full series of X-rays to give us a complete baseline of their oral health. Established patients may need bite-wing X-rays every one to two years depending on their cavity risk, and panoramic images less frequently.
Your dentist will discuss the recommended imaging schedule for you and explain the reasoning. We only recommend X-rays when there is diagnostic value in taking them.

Comprehensive care in one place
In addition to diagnostic imaging, Arise Dental provides the full range of preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and specialized dental services. Most patients can receive all of their care in one convenient, familiar office.
